Leverkusen – Bayer MaterialScience announced in October 2006 that it plans to acquire Taiwan’s Ure-Tech Group, the largest thermoplastic polyurethane (
TPU) producer in the Asia-Pacific region. The acquisition would make Bayer Material-Science the world’s largest supplier of products and solutions in the field of TPU resins and films. Closing of the deal is expected for the second quarter of 2007.
